Halloween, Lake Junaluska & other October fun.

This has been a great Fall, wonderful weather, good times with family & friends & actually winning football, an unusual combination for us Clemson fans.  We just finished up Halloween this week with the first time in the new house.  We found out that the neighborhood gets together every Halloween right outside our front door, quite convenient.  It was fun yet tough to hold off the kids for 2 hours since everyone was at the street party & not in their houses giving out candy.  We had Jessie from Toy Story (Bentley) & Dash from the Incredibles (Lucas) and both had a blast. 

We visited Lake Junaluska several times this Fall as we normally do, including Bentley's first official Fall break from elementary school.  Once with family & had a great time breaking down the MLB playoffs with Granny & watching the kids play with their cousins at the apple festival.  The second time it was much colder but we still had a blast with some great friends the Scurlocks.  And finally, Joey's pancake house was open a weekend that I was there!  Yumm...blueberry pancakes & Lucas enjoyed the syrup too and he should know how good it is after the big gulp straight from the blueberry syrup dispenser.

Outside of Halloween & travel we've enjoyed a couple of trips to Death Valley to watch the Tigers & had a few get-togethers with friends to cheer them on as well.  Bentley & Lucas finished another session of swim lessons & Lucas was introduced to Mighty Mites, the YMCA program that briefly touches on different sports including soccer, football, & baseball.  On to November, hope you had a wonderful October...
