Saluda Part II - The invasion of kids to a quiet mountain town.

After spending a weekend with my Bible study small group earlier this summer we decided to bring the wives & families up to Saluda for a repeat visit.  Each family had their own small cabin and we all got together for meals & other relaxing activities.  We had a fish fry on Friday night at the Lupos, breakfast casserole Sat morning at the Sinclairs & family style dinner at Caro-Mi on Saturday night....mmm homemade biscuits with apple butter/  Though many of the Saluda locals seem to be bitter at us "tourists" especially those "tourists with kids," we had a great time slowing our normal hectic pace down to old-school mountain living.  The kids enjoyed the cabin fever zip line, sitting around the camp fire & just goofing off with all of the other kids.  The day-light savings time helped to get us somewhat caught up on sleep but late nights for kids & normal early mornings equals egg shell walking to avoid the next kid melt down.  The leaves & scnery were beautiful  & good times were had by all.

  2. I have always wanted to stop in that town on the way up to my parents because there is supposed to be an amazing junk store in downtown that I need to hit! So jealous that you were there!
